Plotaholics Podcast, Episode 136 – The Last Temptation of Christ

Controversial 80s January continues. Unfortunately. Yup. This film.

This. Freaking. Film.

This film is directed by the man that yells at clouds because they resemble MCU characters, Martin Scorsese. He based it on a book, but probably not the one you’re thinking.

In this film, Willem Defoe inexplicable plays a Jesus who is just…look he’s doubting himself. Okay? It’s alright. Nothing wrong with that.

Come for the advertised content. Stay for the commentary. Mock the filmmaker.

For real. How do you have David Bowie in your film and screw it up? HOW?!

The Last Temptation of Christ, and the last time we’ll ever watch it.
