This week, Bryan and Shane go back to the land of yesteryear, 1993, to visit the epic crime drama Blood In, Blood Out’. This film has a literal all-star cast (even if some of the stars aren’t all-stars per se), and they deliver all-star performances. This all-star cast includes Benjamin Bratt (Law and Order, Dr. Strange), Danny Trejo (Desperado, Bad Ass), Billy Bob Thornton (Bad Santa, Sling Blade), Delroy Lindo (X, Crooklyn), Ving Rhames (Undisputed, The Mission Impossible Franchise), Tom F. Wilson (Back to the Future, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), Jesse Borrego (Dexter, Married with Children), Damian Chapa (Street Fighter, Money Talks) and many others.
This film explores the lives of step-brothers Paco and Cruz (Benjamin Bratt and Jesse Borrego) and their bi-racial cousin Miklo (Chapa) who always has to take things to the next level just to be accepted. One event changes the course of their lives forever and each one seeks different destinies to cope. One seeks truth in the law, another looks for salvation with drugs, and the other seeks power in crime.
This film isn’t for those that can’t handle storytelling. It’s a LOOOOONG film, but it’s worth it if you put the time in. This episode is way shorter than the film, so sit back and enjoy as the guys talk Blood In Blood Out.
