The Plotaholics Listeners’ Choice Halloween is back again!
The beginning of our 2020 Listeners’ Choice Halloween brings the 2011 (or is it 2012?) horror-comedy gem, The Cabin in the Woods, starring (a pre-Thor) Chris Hemsworth, the super dreamy Bradley Whitford, Richard “Big Dick Jankins” Jenkins, Sigorney Weaver, and Budda from South Central.
In this film, five friends go to a cabin in the woods (not to be confused with a werehouse) where they not only must survive the wrath of a family of redneck torture zombies, but also, as it turns out, the end of the world.
This gem, if you haven’t seen it, is a must-watch. There’s a lot to unpack, so dive right in, eat your eyeballs (or peeled grapes), and join ‘Virgin’ Shane Wilson and Bryan ‘The Whore’ Tann as they discuss The Cabin in the Woods!

Cabin in the Woods was a blessing to all horror fanatics. It took everything we know about the tropes of horror and places them into a logical purpose. It’s such a fun movie that doesn’t get over saturated by the comedy.
