Ben Stiller-tember continues rolling!
This week, let’s explore Ben Stiller’s performance in a dark comedy setting, shall we? Duplex, the 2003 dark comedy directed by the great Danny DeVito (Frank Reynolds on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) sees Ben Stiller and Drew Barrymore as Alex and Nancy, two young professionals purchasing their first home. Unfortunately, this home comes with a tenent.
The dreaded Mrs. Connelly, played amazingly by the late Eileen Essell, makes the lives of her new landlords a living hell, slowly ruining their lives. What can Alex and Nancy do? Well, try and kill her of course!
Enjoy this dark, ahead-of-its-time, comedy analysis and go and watch it for yourself!
