Plotaholics Podcast, Episode 41 – Goon

Greetings, Plotaholics! We are coming up on the third period of our #MarchMovieMadness here on The Plotaholics Podcast, and we would be remiss if we didn’t bring some hockey into the mix, since we teased it in last week’s episode for Happy Gilmore.

To that end, we discuss the 2011 hockey comedy, Goon, starring Sean William Scott (American Pie), Liev Shrieber (Scream, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), and Jay Baruchel (This Is The End, Tropic Thunder).

In this witty comedy, we are introduced to Doug Glatt, aka The Hebrew Dolph Lundgren. A warm-hearted, yet dim-witted man-child who’s only real talents are being able to fight and his love for hockey. After a chance circumstance at a local hockey rink, Doug is on a path to hockey glory. But first, he must deal with his hero-turned-nemesis, Ross “The Boss” Rhea.

Will Doug achieve his glory? Or will he continue to have trash blow in his face and have medical waste explode on him? Only time will tell!

So join us, friends, as we discuss Goon!

And be sure to tune in NEXT WEEKEND on Saturday, March 28, 2020 for our one year anniversary celebration, as we discuss Rocky, LIVE in our first ever live video podcast. Head over to www.plotaholics.com for the fully run-down.
