The Plotaholics continue our Holiday Shenanigans! This week, sit back, relax, and get yourself a nice, hot cup of cocoa as we dissect the 1996 Christmas comedy classic (?) Jingle All The Way starring Sinbad, the late, great Phil Hartman, Rita Wilson, a pre Phantom Menace Jake Lloyd, and some newcomer named Arnold Schwarzenegger. Not sure if he’s going to last long in Hollywood or not. We are excited to see what happens with his career.
In this holiday romp, Schwarzenegger plays a workaholic father that forgets to purchase the hottest toy of the season, Turbo Man, for his son’s Christmas gift. Finding the toy proves to be a challenge of epic proportions when another father, Myron the mailman (Sinbad), is on the same quest! Angry reindeer, grumpy police, and shady Santas face Schwarzenegger at every turn. Will he find the doll…sorry, action figure? Or will his son fall to the dark side because he didn’t receive his gift?
I suppose you’ll just have to listen and find out!
